Aladdin by Yumie Kittaka

Rapunzel translated by Masako Sibuya

Alice in Wonderland translated by Masako Shibuya

Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami translated by Philip Gabriel
Kafka Tamura runs away from home at fifteen, under the shadow of his father’s dark prophecy. The ageing Nakata, tracjer of lost cats, who never recovered from a bizarre childhood affliction, finds his pleasantly simplified life suddenly turned upside down. As their parallel odysseys unravel, cats converse with people; fish tumble from the sky; a ghost-like pimp deploys a Hegel-spouting girl of the night; a forest harbours soldiers apparently un-aged since World War II. There is a savage killing, but the identity of both victim and killer is a riddle – one of many which combine to create an elegant and dreamlike masterpiece.

I wrote a review on this and added some of my favorite lines here

Matched by Ally Condie (Matched Trilogy #1)
Cassia has always trusted the Society’s choices. And when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, Cassia is certain he is the one… until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now she is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path no one dares to follow… between perfection  and passion.

Crossed by Allie Condie (Matched Trilogy #2)
Cassia flees to the Outer Provinces in search of Ky only to discover he has escaped into the canyons. But even as he risks everything to reunite with Ky, a few surprises from her former life may haunt her… or change the game once again.

Reached by Allie Condie (Matched Trilogy #3)
One young woman has raged against those who threaten to keep away what matters most – family, love, choice. Now Cassia’s quiet revolution is about to explode into full-scale rebellion. The wait is over.

Inferno by Dan Brown

‘Seek and ye shall find.’ With these words echoing in his head, eminent Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon awakes in a hospital bed with no recollection of where he is or how he got there. Nor can he explain the origin of the macabre object that is found hidden in his belongings.

A threat to his life will propel him and a young doctor, Sienna Brooks, into a breakneck chase across the city of Florence. Only Langdon’s knowledge of the hidden passageways and ancient secrets that lie behind its historic facade can save them from the clutches of their unknown pursuers.

With only a few lines from Dante’s dark and epic masterpiece, Inferno, to guide them, they must decipher a sequence of codes buried deep within some of the most celebrated artefacts of the Renaissance – sculptures, paintings, buildings – to find the answers to the puzzle which may, or may not, help them save the world from a terrifying threat.

That’s it for my 2nd book haul, if you want to read my first book haul, you can check it out here

Cheers to more books! 😄

Book Haul! 😄📚❤

It’s been over a month since I last posted because….. (two words) Life Happened. I miss the book community so much. 😘 I’m referring to you guys. 😉 Anyway I’m back now so yay! Lol 😂
I’m currently in Japan and being the book lover that I am, the first place I went to was of course, the bookstore. We went to several bookstores but they didn’t have that much English books. Book Off  in
(Kichijoji) was where I found paradise. The English section was not that big but there were best-selling authors and the books were in very good condition despite being used by previous owners. Plus they’re cheap so what a bargain!

Even though I already own some of the books and have read them already, what I have are paperbacks and I want to own hardbacks so yeah… ☺

I’m adopting (my term for buying 2nd hand books) these books! 😄
