Liebster Award

What’s up readers?ย I’ve been nominated for The Liebster Award by the gorgeous Rebecca in her blog, Rebecca Rose, where she blogs about her love for all things beauty, baking and interior related. Check out her lovely blogย here.

Rules for this Award:

  • Create a new post thanking the person who nominated you, providing their link in the post.
  • Also, include award logo.Answer the questions provided.
  • Make a new set of 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
  • Nominate 10 others and share your post with them so they can see it.

Questions:

1. In about a paragraph, tell me about your blog, what it is about, why you run it, or anything else?

My blog is a book blog with all things book-related. Recently though, I’ve been writing some posts about my life beyond just books and reading. I started blogging to express my ideas and thoughts about books I’ve read and to recommend books to people. I think it’s a great way to interact with those who have the same interests as mine.

2. Why do you think, at this point, that your life is worth living?

I think my life is worth living because of my family, close friends, and readers of my blog. They are the reason why I get up in the morning and excited to start each day.

3. How do you see yourself in the future?

I like to be positive when talking about the future so I would most probably still be running this blog and youtube channel andย  hopefully become a translator. I also see myself as traveling the world and still getting excited to wake up each day for new adventures.

4. What makes you emotional? Interactions with people or movies or books or anything?

Words make me emotional when reading and movies make me emotional too but I think I’m most emotional when listening to a song while feeling the melody and lyrics especially when that song reminds me of the past.

5. If, right now, you had the chance to stop living your routine life for a week, what would you do?

If I had the chance, I would travel to a different country and get lost in their culture and the newness of things.

6. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I’m a night owl during weekdays and an early bird during weekends. I find I’m more focused during the night when most people are asleep so I make homeworks late at night and read a book before sleeping and that’s when my creativity is highest and when I get more stuff done. An early bird during weekends because I wake up early and I’m always super excited to start the day on Saturdays and Sundays because I can change my routine since there are no classes. I usually have many things planned for weekends mostly a list of books to read.

7. What trait about people annoys you the most?

Tea Haul

What’s up readers? It’s the 9th day of Blogtober! If you don’t know what Blogtober is, it is a series I am conducting that starts from the first of October where in I post on my blog eveyday until Halloween.

Today’s post is another haul, this time it is tea. I’m not a fan of coffee but I love tea so without further ado, let’s jump right into the tea haul.ย

Variety Pack

Firstย tea I got is this variety pack and with 4 kinds of tea. It consists of chamomile, rosehip, peppermint, and rooibos. It’s non-caffeine which is an added bonus for me because it means I can drink it at night.ย

Organic Rooibos Tea

The next tea I got is this organic rooobos tea which was recommended by my friend.ย A beautiful fragrant red herbal tea with a naturally sweet taste and floral aroma, Rooibos grows exclusively in the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa and on a bush that is very unlike traditional tea plants. The Red Bush (Rooibos) grows about 3 feet tall and has needle-like leaves similar to a pine tree.

ย

(ใปใ†ใ˜่Œถ) Houjicha

Another tea I got is this houjicha.ย If you don’t know what Houjicha is, it is a Japanese green tea. It is distinctive from other Japanese green teas because it is roasted in a porcelain pot overcharcoal, whereas most Japanese teas are steamed. The tea is fired at a hightemperature, altering the leaf color tints from green to reddish brown. I like how it comes in a triangular tea bag. It’s my first time buying a tea in a triangular tea bag. If it’s your first time seeing it too or if you’ve been drinking a tea that comes in a triangular tea bag leave a comment below to let me know. ๐Ÿ˜„

้บฆ่Œถ (Mugicha)

The last tea I got is this mugicha or barley tea in english. Barley tea is a roasted-grain-based infusion made from barley which is a staple across Korea, China, and Japan. It has a toasty flavor, with slight bitter undertones. Whenever I go visit my grandma’s house, we drink barley tea more than we drink water and I used to like barley tea compared to green tea but recently I’ve been drinking a lot of green tea compared to barley tea.ย

That’s it for my tea haul! I hope you enjoyed it! Which do you prefer, coffee or tea? Let me know in the comment section below! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘‡โ˜•๐Ÿต

Stationery Haulย

What’s up readers? Today I’m going to do a stationery haul. Most of the stationeries I bought are from Daiso which is like a dollar store in Japan because almost all of their products are ยฅ108 which is about $1.00.

First thing I got is this rabbit notebook in hardcover from Daiso. A6 with 100 sheets. It’s small and perfect for bringing everywhere be it for writing grocery lists or for writing down random ideas.

This is what it looks like inside. It is a ruled notebook that comes with a ribbon as a bookmark common in most diaries.

The next thing I got is this vintage-themed notebook with the word “BRITISH” written in bold.

This is what it looks like inside with just plain pages without lines. Nice to draw on but since I’m not good at drawing, I’ll just be writing down poems in here.

I also got a bigger notebook in the size B5, 48 sheets with the words, “There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face. -Bern Williams”

This is what the inside looks like. I don’t know what I’m gonna use it for but the puppy is too adorable.

Next are these monthly schedule books also from Daiso. Yes, I got 3 because I will be using 1 for blog post schedule, 1 for class schedule and the last one for health and fitness.

This is what it looks like inside with calendars from October 2017 to January 2019. It also has ruled pages to write a more detailed plan for your schedules written on the calendar. There is also a map of Japan and an illustration of pressure points in the hands and feet.

I think it’s a very unique schedule book or planner. What I like about this schedule book is that although it is for 2018, you can start using it from October of 2017. I think the purpose is so that you can build a habit before 2018 starts.

The next thing I got are these pastel-colored highlighters from Daiso. They’re pastel and I love the colors.

I love bananas and I go bananas over bananas. So I got this banana-shaped pencil case from Flying Tiger which is really cute.

This is what it looks like with pens.

Lastly, I got this Mini Stapler and Tape Set from Daiso. I like how it’s very compact making it easy to bring anywhere.

This is what it looks like inside with one mini stapler and extra staple wires, a mini scotch tape with tape dispenser, and a bunch of paper clips. I got the white set but they also have a black set so you get to chose between the two.
