A special exhibition of traditional Japanese cuisine celebrating the 10th anniversary of its inclusion in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
This exhibition aims to introduce “washoku” Japanese cuisine to more people around the world. It also aims to provide more in depth understanding of the cuisine to the Japanese people which is a part of their daily lives.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
→ Reproduction of the streets of “Edo Period” when the ruling class was samurai. Replicated stalls of sushi, tempura, and soba line up.
→ Reproduction models of the different “washoku” Japanese cuisine from the ingredients to the dishes served on the table of ancient and modern day Japan.
→ The history of Japanese cuisine from ancient Japan to the present day.
→ Ingredients from wild vegetables to those grown in farms.
→ Various types of seafood prominent in Japanese cuisine from seaweeds to little fishes to gigantic sharks.
Packed with fashion, food, and fun, this 350-meter shopping street is a must-visit for those who want to experience Japan’s kawaii culture.
There are photo spots where you can take pictures with Pokémons in the backdrop to keep as remembrance.

And the highlight of this post, the Pokémon digital stamp rally. There are 87 cute and wacky Pokémons just chilling in the colorful street in Harajuku.
