Tea Haul

What’s up readers? It’s the 9th day of Blogtober! If you don’t know what Blogtober is, it is a series I am conducting that starts from the first of October where in I post on my blog eveyday until Halloween.

Today’s post is another haul, this time it is tea. I’m not a fan of coffee but I love tea so without further ado, let’s jump right into the tea haul.

Variety Pack

First tea I got is this variety pack and with 4 kinds of tea. It consists of chamomile, rosehip, peppermint, and rooibos. It’s non-caffeine which is an added bonus for me because it means I can drink it at night.

Organic Rooibos Tea

The next tea I got is this organic rooobos tea which was recommended by my friend. A beautiful fragrant red herbal tea with a naturally sweet taste and floral aroma, Rooibos grows exclusively in the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa and on a bush that is very unlike traditional tea plants. The Red Bush (Rooibos) grows about 3 feet tall and has needle-like leaves similar to a pine tree.

(ほうじ茶) Houjicha

Another tea I got is this houjicha. If you don’t know what Houjicha is, it is a Japanese green tea. It is distinctive from other Japanese green teas because it is roasted in a porcelain pot overcharcoal, whereas most Japanese teas are steamed. The tea is fired at a hightemperature, altering the leaf color tints from green to reddish brown. I like how it comes in a triangular tea bag. It’s my first time buying a tea in a triangular tea bag. If it’s your first time seeing it too or if you’ve been drinking a tea that comes in a triangular tea bag leave a comment below to let me know. 😄

麦茶 (Mugicha)

The last tea I got is this mugicha or barley tea in english. Barley tea is a roasted-grain-based infusion made from barley which is a staple across Korea, China, and Japan. It has a toasty flavor, with slight bitter undertones. Whenever I go visit my grandma’s house, we drink barley tea more than we drink water and I used to like barley tea compared to green tea but recently I’ve been drinking a lot of green tea compared to barley tea.

That’s it for my tea haul! I hope you enjoyed it! Which do you prefer, coffee or tea? Let me know in the comment section below! 😄👇☕🍵
