Shibuya Street Dance Week 2019

Date: November 11 – 17, 2019

Shibuya Street Dance Week is the largest street dance festival held in Japan.

Supported by a wide range of people, Shibuya Street Dance Week establishes street dance as a new art culture and spread the charm and essential values of street dance from Shibuya, the sacred place of street dancers and a city full of vitality, to the rest of Japan.

FREE WORKSHOP (Nov. 16)

TIME: 7:30 PM ~ 9:30PM

VENUE: 10-12, Dogenzaka 2-Chōme, Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo, Japan

A free workshop is held by top artists who are leading the dance scene in Shibuya, a city that has greatly contributed to the development of street dance.

Shibuya Street Dance Street Workshop is a great way to understand street dance not only while learning not only dance skills, but also culture.

BLUE STAGE (Nov. 17)

TIME: 11AM – 3:30PM

VENUE: Yoyogi Park Outdoor Stage

Dancers based in Shibuya will hold a special dance showcase in addition to various organizations that conduct social activities through street dance.

Gyoza Festival 2019 in Nakano

Date: Oct. 31 – Nov. 4

1 Meal Ticket: 660 yen

Gyoza (餃子) is a crescent-shaped pan-fried dumpling stuffed with minced pork and vegetables.

Various types of dumplings of popular stores from all over Japan are served at the “Gyoza Festival 2019” held at Nakano Shikinomori Koen in Nakano, Tokyo from 31st October to 4th November.

Tokyo Ramen Show 2019

The 11th Ramen Show, the largest outdoor ramen event, is held at Komazawa, Tokyo this year. Top ramen stores from all across Japan have gathered to participate in the event.

A nostalgic blend of Showa scenery and colorful schools of goldfish

In the first year of the Reiwa Era (2019), the largest Goldfish Exhibition, “Edorium,” a fashionably retro goldfish exhibition with the theme “Nostalgic,” is wafting Showa Era atmosphere at Sumida Aquarium.

Showa-themed advertising billboards, miscellaneous goods, goldfish lantern decorations and music, take you back in time.

If you walk above the surface of a projected video, water ripples appear as if you’re walking on water.
